Cyrielle - the one who dreams big.
Isn't an accomplished dream just a goal achieved which signals the end of the dream? It's good to achieve your goals, but uninterrupted dreams are what life is all about, right? Cyrielle's very first dream is to fill the emotional void that a forgetful family dug in her heart. A heart in need is a heart that urgently needs to be filled. The humanitarian emergency is a natural impetus for Cyrielle. And the first humanitarian mission into which she throws herself wholeheartedly - I almost said wholeheartedly, that wouldn't have been a slip of the tongue, you'll see - is a terrible mission but an imperative human challenge. In 2014, Cyrielle left for Bangladesh to meet Rohingya refugees. There is no hierarchy in humanitarian distress but we must recognize - the UN confirms this - that the Rohingya are today the wretched of the earth. Muslim minority, punished, hunted, driven out of Burma. The height of the darkest despair, it is the Buddhist Burma of Aung San Suu Kyi which reserves this fate for them; they are accused of rebellion and terrorism. Whoever wants to drown his dog accuses him of rabies, this has been true since the dawn of time. We would expect more compassion and discernment from the Lady of Rangoon who really does not honor her Nobel Peace Prize, she who experienced exile and deprivation, before making a pact with the junta . Those who are bright one day can fall into political darkness the next day, what a sad observation! So Cyrielle takes care of the wretched of the earth, refugees in Bangladesh, that is to say poor people among other poor people, asked to make a small space for them, in a country regularly afflicted by floods; double or even triple punishment for the Rohingyas.I never knew whether to say “pursue” or “accomplish” your dreams in French?
In this field of inhumanity Cyrielle runs out of steam. His ardent conscience is not to blame, it is his physique which shows signs of serious fatigue. The heart is a very sophisticated and fragile mechanism which runs only on lead-free Super Premium, otherwise this beautiful machine, intended to produce as much love as vital energies, will no longer backfire and run out of steam. Now Cyrielle's heart is in trouble; for 27 years a nasty heart defect has been waiting for Cyrielle's life to turn the corner, without her knowing it. Fortunately detected in Spring 2014 completely unexpectedly at the Pasteur Institute, we still noticed 2 things, surprisingly comparable to my adventure. A disease hidden in the shadows often waits for a sunny Spring to ruin our lives and then 27 is definitely the critical age when the Grim Reaper often decides to strike. There is even a congregation of those who died at 27: Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, JM Basquiat, Kurt Cobain (...). Cyrielle and I would not have gained any glory from having joined the clan of cursed artists at the same age. The Reaper fortunately spared us. No good being superstitious, hypochondriacs are enough.A bad thing never comes alone.
Cyrielle's heart is entrusted to a cardiac surgeon who, with as much talent and attention to detail as a goldsmith from Place Vendôme, places the vital prosthesis, which the members of this heart malformation club call among themselves "the jewel of the heart”; a real valve, not the category of valves that make you laugh stupidly, but valves that make you live fully, preventing a blood clot from going to the brain and destroying everything. There you have it, Cyrielle is back on her feet with a heart beating at a good and beautiful tempo, but... convalescence is painful under the effect of beta-blockers which makes her vegetative. The mind is deeply deteriorated. All those who return from hell know this post-traumatic passage well. Too many fears, too much anxieties, too many violent emotions, too much loneliness in the face of death, too much injustice, which overwhelm you in retrospect. We have just crossed Everest, we survived, the descent towards the valley will be peaceful and radiant... well! No . We trip over the slightest bit of gravel and collapse. Demons emerging en masse from a tube of Lexomil call Cyrielle after 8 months of neurasthenic convalescence. Flight or dive, it doesn't matter, it's tempting. The heart that will make the world beat.
And then, a voice from the depths of childhood rises to the surface, in the middle of the night, one of those nights from Friday to Saturday, darker than the others for those who are in pain, since it is the night that announces the relaxation and laughter of the weekend for others, the healthy. Cyrielle hears Michael Jackson singing - she doesn't believe she hears singing, she hears singing - "We are here to change the world". A real blow from the defibrillator that his bruised and patched heart no longer expected. Resilience is at work, slow but stubborn. See the previous portrait of Jean Max , when the carcass is not pierced, it finds its shape, enchanting alchemy, resilience. It's actually Cyrielle who sings this song, by proxy. She sings: “Hello Good Times, We are here to stimulate, eliminate, congregate, illuminate…”. Yes, we are all on this imperfect earth to make it better, to stimulate ourselves, to eliminate bad karma, to unite and illuminate it.... otherwise, what is the point? There will always be an incompressible margin of malicious people who prefer the path that leads to Mad Max Fury Road. The abyss fascinates them, we can do nothing about it... in fact, if we can do anything about it, we trace our own path with ardor, straight ahead. We are called "lit" - I am put in the category - well! Yes, fire pushes us, it's our element, not ice or lukewarm water, so what? “Looking at you they will get used to it” says one of René Char’s most beautiful lines. The Rebound...
A blog to start with. An echo chamber, convictions, unfailing sincerity, in bulk, but at the other end, the echo which returns, more and more sonorous and consistent. What does the echo say? We MUST change the system that is deteriorating the planet. By politics and policies, meh...!? a well-worn, predictable, conventional process; the art of compromise allows you to “pull out,” as sailors say, but does not reach hearts. So Cyrielle's crazy and so sensible thing is to access civic and ecological awareness through the heart. How to do ? Journalist, columnist for Ushuaïa TV, Cyrielle expands her address book as they say, but not to dine in town, to be useful. The encounters, each more extraordinary than the last, multiply and snowball. The few beautiful consciences of this world are linked, Matthieu Ricard, Father Pedro, Pierre Rabhi, Muhamad Yunus, the true and legitimate “banker of the poor” Nobel Peace Prize winner, unlike the “Lady of Rangoon”. . benevolent “people” too, those who pass the sincerity test at the end of the day, not the monetized and limitless circus phenomena. And then the mass of anonymous heroes encountered in the middle of nowhere, humanity which beats in short, like the heart. It is not enough ! Cyrielle is writing a book “Making the heart of the world beat” , more than a book, a manifesto. Martin Luther King inspired Cyrielle “let's learn to live together like brothers, otherwise we will die together like idiots”. He's an idiot brother who murdered him... not a sufficient reason to stop the progress of history, on the contrary. It's still not enough! I left Cyrielle talking about a foundation project, her Foundation, the temple of all her immense convictions, her stone for transforming reality, her irreversible viral effect... We part with one of my mantras in mind, DREAM BIG. See you soon Sister. As for me, coming back from this appointment, it was Brel who sang to me his Quest "to dream an impossible dream... to leave where no one leaves... to love, even too much, even badly, to try without strength and without armor, to 'reach the inaccessible star... that is my quest, follow the star, no matter my luck, no matter the weather... and the cities would be splashed with blue...' We can do it!Cyrielle's second life begins, she is 30 years old, finally.
